When do I need a lamp fitting adaptor?

An adaptor is used when a lamp has a different socket than the lamp holder. In this way it is still possible to use the desired lamp without having to do a lot of rebuilding. Make sure that the lamp fits in terms of dimensions. For example, an E14 fitting is often used for candle lamps or other compact lamps. If you are going from E14 to E27, it is therefore important that the lamp itself fits in terms of size.

Selecting an adapter socket online

If you want to choose an adapter socket online, you first look at what socket there is in a lamp holder. Then look at the socket of the lamp you want to mount in the lamp holder. Is the socket of the lamp holder for example a large E27 socket and the lamp has an E14 socket then you choose an E27 to E14 adapter socket. The socket of the lamp is often stated in small letters on the bulb.
